The Cathodes are a synth-pop band based near Manchester in the United Kingdom.
The Cathodes officially came up with the band name on 21st March 2020, two days before the first lockdown here in the UK. The band primarily consists of Dave Forward (vocals and guitar), Barbara Verrall (keyboards) and Paul Cargill (bass). For live performances, the band is augmented by drummer Dan Hadley who was previously with dance band - Delphic (signed to Polydor Records). The Cathodes are on Fred Cannon's USA based label - Creative and Dreams Music Network, LLCĀ®.
